Curtis and Shawna, founders of The Swanx, have pioneered a technique that combines the quality of Sanita handcrafted clogs (as well as other footwear styles) with the work of accomplished artists. The idea of hand painting clogs came from Shawna, a nurse in the Tacoma area, who always enjoyed wearing colorful scrubs; but thought her plain black clogs needed something more.
